San Francisco Bay Gala
SF Bay Gala—The Show Must Go OnA little thing like a government shutdown wasn't going to stop us from celebrating the Bay. On Thursday, October 3, over 400 supporters of the San Francisco Bay gathered to show their support for our efforts to protect, restore and inspire the conservation of San Francisco Bay and its watershed from the Sierra to the sea.
The gala was originally planned to be held at the Maritime Museum – a national park – and in light of the government shutdown, we were forced to come up with a new plan. With gracious help from our title sponsors, Hornblower Cruises and Events, we were able to secure the San Francisco Belle as our new venue. Thanks to a dedicated staff, guests boarded the San Francisco Belle and the celebration commenced right on time!
Take a look at some of the highlights from the evening.
The San Francisco Bay Gala brings together 500 of the Bay’s foremost supporters, including environmental, civic and philanthropic leaders with a shared passion for a healthy San Francisco Bay and estuary.
Join us for an Otterly Enchanting evening and view the watershed through the eyes of our local river otters. We will raise a glass to the Aquarium’s new North American river otter exhibit.
