Discover, learn and explore with the help of our trained Naturalists

Aquarium of the Bay’s Education Programs focus on inquiry-based learning and hands-on experiences. All of the Aquarium’s education programs are taught by our staff of trained Naturalists, linked to California State Science Standards and include age-appropriate activities.

Classroom programs and self-guided tours are free to all K-12 Bay Area schools (San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Sonoma, Napa and Solano counties) and take place from mid September through early June of each school year. Reservations are required. These are popular programs that book quickly.

The Discover the Bay Hybrid Ferry Program is a fee-based program that is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from mid-October 2011 through early June 2012.
